HI, I'M JULIA
UX Designer I Food Writer I Storyteller I Sporadic Wedding Officiant

THESE DAYS
I apply my extensive research background, love of talking to real people, and passion for fixing things to UX Research and UX Design. My passions include non-profit activism, food writing, and consulting with brands to help them connect with customers through social media, insights into their culture, and brand strategy.
BEFORE
I studied psychology and studio art at Scripps College in Claremont, California. There, I ran the lab for the Psychology department chair, collaborating on research material creation, hiring and training other student researchers, scheduling participants, and analyzing data. I also learned advanced statistical methods, such as structural equation modeling and linear regression, which I applied to my two honors theses.
Since college, I have continued my love of research by writing about food and social issues for major publications, interviewing everyone from TV stars to chefs to farmers.
NEXT
I'm looking to expand my growing skill set in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where I will have autonomy, accountability, and the chance to apply my significant business insights to increase user satisfaction.
